How Do I Make My House Safe for My Pet Cat?

You need to make sure you house is safe for your cat, there are many dangers in your house that could cause accidents partiularly when you bring a cat home for the first time. Here are some of the things you should do to keep your cat safe.

  • Put the Lid Down on your Toilet. Cats and Kittens can not resist the tempation to drink, and they could fall in or be poisoned.
  • Keep doors on appliances (cooker, washing machine etc) closed, also make sure you check these each time you use them in case your cat has climbed in.
  • keep cleaning supplies where cats can not get to them as most are toxic.
  • Put Lit candels where you cat can not get to them. Cats are drawn to small flames.
  • Put medicins away where your cat can not ge to them.
  • If you have any breackable ornaments them be sure to put them away safe, cats are drawn to shiny object.
  • Keep your doors and windows closed initially to prevent escape.
  • Throw away any plastic bags you have right now, these can suffocate your cat.
  • Cover any open Electrical outlets, hide any electrical cords as these are attractive toys to cats and every year many cats die from electrocution.
  • Give away any Dangerouse plants like poinsettias.
  • Do not use Rodent poisons and avoid using chemicals in your garden

      Please be sure to keep your cat or kitten away from antifreeze. It is highly toxic to cats and there is no cure once they have ingested the tiniest bit.
      Please pass on and save a cats life… I found out the hardest way possible
